of their cornfield. The slave is startled and the little girl decides to help.
The girl helps by giving the boy food and soon the slave goes on his way but
leaves a token of his appreciation behind, a doll.

to help and when it is not. Students will work in groups and sort through
various scenarios to help build their moral conscience
