Each entry will include the book cover picture, a brief overview, bibliographic information, and suggested uses for families, librarians, and teachers. BRIEF OVERVIEW: Tacky is an out-of-place penguin in the Penguin Cheering Contest. He struggles hard at first, but ends up stealing the show and making his team proud.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Students write their own “tacky” story about an out-of-place character, which is an animal. The story should have an ending where their character comes out “on top.” They must illustrate one scene from their story.
