Book Description:
This
is a great story of a little girl and her father going looking for owls on a
winter’s night. The watercolor pictures are simple and beautiful. The purpose of this book is
to show that the father and daughter are spending special time together.
Integrated Idea:
Have
the students pretend they are in the snowy weather and go on a walk around the
room and /or the school. They have to be quiet and take big steps through the
snow. Finally have the librarian or other teacher is the owl and the children
will end up in the library and can read the book after their long walk.
