We hope you will find "just the right book" to share with others. Our goal is to keep the site updated with information about children's authors, book awards, and new releases. Each entry will include the book cover picture, a brief overview, bibliographic information, and suggested uses for families, librarians, and teachers. We will categorize books in several different ways, to facilitate searching.

INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Have students write down things that they do to help remember who they are if they ever forget. Fill in the information on a “dog tag” with their name on it.

INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Students will create their own version of “the other side of town” using similarities to their home town. They will need to come up with words that rhyme and have silly names.

Countdown to Kindergarten

 INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Have the children come up with their own imaginary monster. Once they have done this, they will come up with a name and have them displayed in the classroom. Have the students draw the monster big enough so they can write an adventurous story about a journey they went on with their monster! They can also share it with their classmates.

INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Since this book is dealing with a lot of adjectives, I thought it would be a great idea for the students to build their own tacos, and write adjectives on their tacos describing them.
