BRIEF OVERVIEW: Young boy, Max, puts on his favorite costume and let’s
his imagination roam. His mother cooked a meal that he didn’t feel was proper
to his royal. After being sent to his room he imagined a place where he ruled
but that place lacked love. He returned to reality and ate the meal.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Students will
use crafts to create masks and crowns like the “Wild Things” in the book.
