BRIEF OVERVIEW: Young Nick is given a pair of mittens by his grandmother. Unfortunately, he loses one of the mittens. This event starts an amazing reaction by several wild animals attempting to escape the cold.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: A teacher could ask their students to create a mitten in arts and crafts and then instruct them to place toy animals inside the mitten to imitate the scenes from the book.
