Welcome to: A Book or Two: Children's Literature Reviews, a blog site that offers information on new, classic, and favorite children's literature, reviewed by university professors, classroom teachers, librarians, and those studying to become teachers. We hope you will find "just the right book" to share with others. Our goal is to keep the site updated with information about children's authors, book awards, and new releases. Each entry will include the book cover picture, a brief overview, bibliographic information, and suggested uses for families, librarians, and teachers. The Butterfly

BRIEF OVERVIEW: This book follows a little caterpillar through his life span. The little caterpillar munches through leaves until you see him turn into a beautiful butterfly.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Life cycle of a butterfly: Students will receive a sheet of paper that has four sections on it. The sections will include the egg, caterpillar, cocoon, and butterfly. The students will be given four different types of pasta to put in the sections. The students will glue each pasta piece into the correct section and then they will have the life cycle of the butterfly made out of pasta.
