Welcome to: A Book or Two: Children's Literature Reviews, a blog site that offers information on new, classic, and favorite children's literature, reviewed by university professors, classroom teachers, librarians, and those studying to become teachers. BRIEF OVERVIEW: A little boy named Wilbur goes on an adventure to be like the Great Enchanter in his favorite book. He wanted to go find the Golden Snail. On his journey he comes across a bush of blossoming butterflies, monstrous sea creature and lantern fish. These were almost "compound animals", an actual animal combined with a living or non-living thing. These animals later him reach him final destination. 
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Each student will create a map of Wilbur's adventure and where he met the animals along the way.
