Welcome to: A Book or Two: Children's Literature Reviews, a blog site that offers information on new, classic, and favorite children's literature, reviewed by university professors, classroom teachers, librarians, and those studying to become teachers. We hope you will find "just the right book" to share with others. Our goal is to keep the site updated with information about children's authors, book awards, and new releases. Each entry will include the book cover picture, a brief overview, bibliographic information, and suggested uses for families, librarians, and teachers. BRIEF OVERVIEW: Lyla just moved to a new town which is where she met Jamie, a new boy at her new school. They became friends. Lyla tried out for cheerleading and made the team, which allowed her to be friends with the most popular girls at school. However, when Lyla saw how mean they were, she stopped talking to them. They later began bullying Lyla over the Internet.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY:
1. Have an open discussion of bullying.
2.Define the different forms of bullying.
3. Have the class do the paper activity on bullying.
