Welcome to: A Book or Two: Children's Literature Reviews, a blog site that offers information on new, classic, and favorite children's literature, reviewed by university professors, classroom teachers, librarians, and those studying to become teachers. We hope you will find "just the right book" to share with others. Our goal is to keep the site updated with information about children's authors, book awards, and new releases. Each entry will include the book cover picture, a brief overview, bibliographic information, and suggested uses for families, librarians, and teachers. BRIEF OVERVIEW:It's the principal Mr. Slipper's birthday, and the class decides to write birthday cards. Stan is having trouble but is afraid to ask for help. After help from his teacher and a lot of practice, Stan's letters come out perfectly.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY:Learning how to write is important for this age group to learn, so students must also write a birthday card to Mr. Slipper. They must make sure the letters are the write way and nice and neat like Stan’s came out to be after a lot of practice.
