BRIEF OVERVIEW:Violet is a story that tells a moral about equality and treating everyone fair and equal. It also makes the point that everyone is unique and different and teaches the reader to embrace their own unique identity. This book also is informational in a sense that it describes what colors mix to make violet. 

INTEGRATED ACTIVITY:Use this story as an opportunity to create a show and tell and allow each student to bring something special or unique about them to the class to present to everyone
