BRIEF OVERVIEW:  Ferdinand the bull was not like his friends.  He liked to sit under the tree and smell the flowers.  His friends like to fight and wanted to prepare for the bull fight in Madrid.  But one day Ferdinand is accidentally picked for the bull fight in Madrid.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Ferdinand likes to sit under the tree on the hill.  Have students fold a piece of paper in fours, labeling the squares see, hear, smell, & feel.  Let them fill in each section with what Ferdinand may be experiencing.
