BRIEF OVERVIEW:
This is a story about a little girl who loves the different ways she can wear
her hair. The story starts with her mother combing her hair and as it continues
they talk about how soft and thick her hair is, and the ways her mother can fix
her hair for her.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: A lesson could be given on metaphors before the story is read and
students will have to look for them in the story. After the story is read
students will find the metaphors in the story, and be able to discuss in small
groups.
