Welcome to: A Book or Two: Children's Literature Reviews, a blog site that offers information on new, classic, and favorite children's literature, reviewed by university professors, classroom teachers, librarians, and those studying to become teachers. Each entry will include the book cover picture, a brief overview, bibliographic information, and suggested uses for families, librarians, and teachers. An Egg is Quiet

BRIEF OVERVIEW:  This is a great informational book about eggs.  More than 60 types of eggs are covered within the book ranging from tiny hummingbird eggs to giant ostrich eggs.  It gives facts about eggs and even a fascinating guide about egss.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY:  The children will plan to spend several hours outside looking for eggs in trees.  Then children will come back inside and draw pictures of the eggs they found and try to determine what type of birds they come from.
