BRIEF OVERVIEW: A little boy grew up in a sleepy town in Kansas. His father asked him if he would like to climb a mountain, which the boy knew was impossible because there were no mountains in Kansas. They climbed a wheat elevator. At the top, the boy saw the town from a different view and realized that this was his special place with his dad.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: Students will get under their desks and record all of the things they notice that are different than what they normally see sitting in their desks.
