BRIEF OVERVIEW: A bus driver has trusted the reader to watch the bus while he goes on a little break; the most important rule is not to let the pigeon drive the bus. Throughout the book the pigeon is persistent in wanting to drive the bus, until the bus driver gets back and he realizes that his pleas have gone unheard.
INTEGRATED ACTIVITY: The students will be divided up into two groups. One group will discuss why they feel the pigeon should drive the bus, and the other group will discuss why they feel the pigeon shouldn't drive the bus.
